Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: July 2026

Comfort Central Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our services or visit our website.

Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Service address and property details
  • Payment and billing information
  • Service history and maintenance records
  • Communications and correspondence with our team

We may also automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, schedule, and complete service requests
  • Process payments and send invoices
  • Send service reminders and maintenance notifications
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Improve our services and website experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g., payment processors, scheduling software) and who are contractually obligated to protect your data. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Text Messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in — for example, by checking the SMS consent box on a form on this site — you agree to receive recurring text messages from Comfort Central Inc. related to your inquiry, appointments, service, and account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent collected for text messaging will not be shared with, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Numbers may be disclosed only to the messaging providers that deliver the texts you requested on our behalf.

Third-Party Services and Analytics

Our website uses third-party analytics and tag-management services, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, and how visitors found us. These services collect information (such as IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity on this site) through cookies and similar technologies, subject to their own privacy policies.

When you call a phone number listed on this website, the call may be routed through a call-tracking service so we can understand which pages and campaigns generate calls and can improve our customer service. If a call is recorded, applicable notice and consent requirements will be followed.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption, secure servers, and restricted access to personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain accurate service history for your property, honor warranties and maintenance agreements, meet bookkeeping and tax requirements, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it in a manner consistent with applicable law.

Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze site traffic, and remember your preferences. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may limit certain functionality on our site.

Children's Privacy

Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, such as financing providers, manufacturer sites, and review platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date on this page. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below.

Your Privacy Choices

Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Categories of personal information we collect. Through this website, Comfort Central Inc. collects: identifiers and internet activity collected by analytics tools (such as cookie identifiers, IP address, device/browser information, and pages viewed via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager); contact information you submit through our forms (such as name, email address, phone number, and service details); and, where call tracking is in use, phone call metadata (such as the number dialed, caller ID, and call duration).

“Selling” and “sharing.” We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of third-party analytics and advertising cookies that support cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute “sharing” (and in some cases “selling”) of personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA.

Your rights. California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.120, §1798.121 — including limiting use of sensitive personal information), the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, the right to request deletion, the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

How to opt out of sale/sharing. You can opt out in either of two ways: (1) use the consent choice presented on this website (or the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of every page, which brings you to this section), and decline non-essential cookies; or (2) enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser — this website honors GPC automatically as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing, with no further action required.

Canadian privacy rights (PIPEDA). If you are in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to correct it, and the right to withdraw your consent to our collection and use of your personal information. You can withdraw consent to analytics and advertising cookies using the same choices described above — the on-site consent choice or the GPC browser signal — and you can exercise your access and correction rights using the contact method below. If you are in Quebec, Law 25 also gives you the right to complain about our handling of your personal information to our designated privacy contact (reachable via the contact method below), and this policy’s cookie and tracking disclosures are provided in accordance with that law.

Contact. To exercise any of these rights — your right to know, delete, or correct (US state law) or your right to access, correct, or withdraw consent (Canada) — or to ask any question about this section, contact Comfort Central Inc. at (301) 745-5515 or [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the timelines required by law.
